Well, I got a chance to see the rifle before it went into the FFL's safe for the obligatory "10 day cooling off" period. Bore and metal were fine, stock may need some attention. Also, the sights arrived from Sweden today Two sets, a bit different, but look like either would work: Sight#1 [...

This is still in the original 7x57 caliber. Chile did rechamber some of it's Mausers to 7.62 Nato back in the early 60's.
