Thanks,mate.
I think I might use 'Aughnanure' It being the family's castle an' all. I'll keep 'Flaith' in reserve.

Re: No1 MK 111
Nice rifles indeed and a Lithgow with such an early date is rare in itself, let alone having matching numbers. Most early L'gows had walnut, I don't remember if it came from England finished or if the blanks were imported.

Re: Comparing No4 Mk1 and Mk2
What you really need is a No1 Mk1*:D; ; ;

Re: Ordered a Lithgow 1 Mk 3 from AIM
Robert, One of the other things was that we went onto Broadband and some sorting out was needed. A consequence of this is that I don't have my computer back on line yet and have to use my wife's which has a #@#@#$%$%^&*&* 'qwerty' keyboard whereas I use the logical Davorak board. Anyway back...

Re: Ordered a Lithgow 1 Mk 3 from AIM
Robert,
Sorry to take so long to answer, but what with the disaster and a few other things I missed seeing your post.
Have a look on the lhs of the barrel at the Nock's Form. There should be a date just below the flat,
Eoin.

Re: Looking at a .410 BSA
I concur with Adam. Check if it accepts a normal .410 shell. The round for the Indian conversions is based on the .303 and is smaller than normal.

I'm still with yer. Got a hell of a shock when I loged on last night. Wayne's Enfield site was in tatters as also the Swiss.

Adam.
A superb lot.I'm so glad I went onto Broadband today.
Off to Inverell range Saturday for a c/fire shoot and to Uralla on Sunday for .303.
I particularly liked the last pic. Who'st him?:D;

there is a .22 BSA 'Sportsman' Single shot in the cabin. Just in case we were attacked by rabbits.
