1933 Izhevsk

I found a nice one.....it's a 1933 Izhevsk Hex barrel, DDR1 marked, serial numbered 468 with matching bayonet....yep a 3 digit SN. I had to pony up 355 delivered but consider it well worth the price. The barrel looks unfired so there will will be a range report when the weather moderates. :D Regard...

That 36 Tula looks like a rifle that survived the battle of Leningrad......I love it! Regards, Rick.

Re: Remington 1903A3

Nice one. I think that Frank J Atwood's (FJA) appears on more rifles than anyone else in history. How many parts were changed during rebuild? There are many of us that subscribe to the theory that the arsenals changed parts for job security! Regards, Rick.

1903 Remington a labor of love

I purchased Remington SN 3004295 about 11 years ago for $550, manufactured in November 1941 the 2d month of production(Remington was assigned 3000001 as the start block for serial numbers). Remington was awarded a contract to produce the rifles using the old Rock Island tooling from WWI. The major i...

Re: Shooting contest winners

Great shooting guys....I've been real busy so missed out. The deer season was great. I passed on a few decent bucks and took a nice doe during the Doe season. This Sat the Muzzleloader season kicks in so I will have another chance at the big buck. Regards, Rick.
