Thanks Niner! Im going to try to hit the range some night this week when its not so busy. I dont like to be rushed when Im dialing in. I like the range I belong to but it can get busy.

Just wanted to post this for mas36 to let him know I finally got my sniper. 2198-2.jpg 2198-8.jpg Took it to the range. Had to fiddle with it for awhile but the range was busy and the day was hot and so was the mosin. By the time I got it to the point where I could hit something I had to pack it in....

If it eventually blew off with the 91/30 I'd bet it would have come off the first time on the M38. There is enough charge in the surplus for the long 91/30 but its wasted as fire balls on the carbines...

No problem getting ammo as of yet. I can get a tuna can of Romanian, Bulgarian, or Russian for about $130 dollars...roughly 85 pounds.
