Thanx! Definately a help. I'm thinking that possibly the rear sight got clobbered while extended, maybe bent the pin or oblonged the pin hole. Looks ok externaly, but has a lot of movement off to the left side, but not excesive to the right. I probably better find my skinny pin punch! Much as I hate...

I've been un-bubbizing a 1907/15 Berthier rifle. Got it cheap at a gunshow. Guy I got it from had found some barrel bands, but couldn't find a stock to finish the project. Just got a Martini Henry Mk.II rifle. Made by BSA in 1889. A rifle from the Nepal cache of ancient armaments. Previous oldest was a French 1892 ordnance revolver made in 1894.
