Re: C308

My dealer called me last week saying that he had located one and was I still interested. I decided to pass mainly because I am running out of safe space and I already have enough rifles that never see the light of day as it is. I have an FAL that hasn't been fired in 2 1/2 years and besides I am kne...

Re: C308

While I was waiting for the C308 to restock I ran across a deal on a Kimber 82 heavy barrel that was too good to pass up so that pretty much does it for my rifle budget for the foreseeable future. That coupled with the fact that my right shoulder just won't survive too many more beatings from high p...

C308

I have one of these http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/compone ... l?Itemid=0 on order. It looks like a lot of fun and besides, I need something to keep my FAL company in the safe.

Re: Chinese SKS with PU mount

If you want to impress your buddies get an AK and a bunch of 40 round mags, if you actually want to be able to hit your target you need an SKS. I have Chinese, Albanian, and Yugo SKS's and it is amazing how accurate they are out to 200 yards. My Albanian was one of AIM's $89 shooters (read ugly as h...

1911

Even though Bob and I have 4 .45acp handguns between us my local establishment had this at a price that I couldn't pass up. Everyone needs a basic GI 1911A1 and Bob has been wanting one since I got my Ruger stainless SR1911. Besides, he can actually see the GI sights. http://pic100.picturetrail.com/...

Lever guns

There seems to be pretty much nothing new in the way of milsurps turning up anymore so I have developed a hot and heavy love affair with lever guns. My latest squeeze in an absolutely gorgeous Henry Big Boy in .45 LC. This rifle is pretty much a work of art http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL368/9555...

My Stash

It looks like a lot but somewhere in the neighborhood of 2500-3000 rounds will be needed for our Scout rifle & shotgun weekend camp coming up mid March. The two stacks of MiniMag boxes have regular rounds in them set up alternating rows of 5 and 4 so it is easier to load my Taurus Tracker and Ru...

It Lives!!

The .300 AAC AR that we built for my Grandson is complete except for the optics. It was his first AR build and my first time building the upper half from a pile of parts. I didn't get any pictures of him torquing the barrel nut because it took both of us to keep the wrench pins lined up and in the b...

.300 AAC

Not too long ago Classic Firearms in NC offered quite a list of AR overrun barrels in various configurations and chamberings at very good prices. One of the items that caught my attention was a 16" heavy barrel in .300 AAC so I ordered one with the intention of maybe swapping barrels on one of ...
