Winchester Model 52

I had been looking at Winchester model 52 rifles at gun shows & online for a couple of years now, just hoping to snag one great rifle for a great price, yet the owners/sellers of the rifles always wanted a fat wad of cash in order to part with their rifle. Most of what I veiwed did not come as a...

Re: Recovered 03A3

Well, due to the short beaded front sight, this rifle shoots way too high. I traded my Gibbs 03A3/4 replica away, so I decided to see how this one shoots with the glass. I recently acquired over a dozen old Weaver scopes from the 30's, 40's, & 50's, along with a few later ones. Most were in good...

Re: Two U.S. & One Polish Trainer

Here is a trainer that just started to trickle into the U.S. It is a very well built Polish Kbks 78 training rifle used to train recruits in riflemanship before being trained with the Polish AK variant. In the late 1970s a semiautomatic .22 rimfire training carbine based upon the AKM/AKMS rifles was...

Two U.S. & One Polish Trainer

Here are my Remington 513T trainer, & my Stevens 416 trainer. These were both made & used during the Second World War. The Remington looks to have had a much longer history. It has lost its coat of blue, & the either pitted or blasted metal surfaces have been parkerized. Both are great s...

Re: I bet most of us have a few

Glad to see this section! :D I have about fifteen rimfire rifles & handguns. I just mounted some period optics on many of them & I will soon get to enjoy a new experience when using the new-to-me scopes on familiar rifles that I have shot previously using only the iron sights. I purchased a ...

Re: 1903 parts lot.

I believe the pins were substitutes for the more expensive crossbolts during wartime production.
Whatever it took to produce more with less.(Time & materials)

Re: Finn 1891 "Liege proofed" VKT/B barrel.

Thanks, OIS. I was looking a bit more carefully and found this proof on the side of the barrel. A "36" with a "VKT" then a "00" [pic]http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s194/Calfed/1891Finn011.jpg[/pic] Not sure exactly what that signifies. Any ideas? The 3600 is a pres...
