Re: 1944 Izhevsk M44 / Yugoslavian refurb.

That is a very good looking M44 Walt. Both the wood and metal look FANTASTIC. I'd love to add a Yugoslavian M44 to my collection, but I have never seen one refurbed by 1.TRZ for sale over here. For those of you who don't know, 1.TRZ stands for: TRZ: T ehnicki R emontni Z avod or Technical Repair Fac...

Re: M41 Carcano

Very nice rifle and good shooting Joe. I've been using cast bullets with reduced loads for years now. The powder I use is VihtaVuori N110. For my Mosin Nagant I use 18gn of N110 and results are good at the 100 meter range. For my Dutch M95 (6.5x53.5R) I use 17gn of N110. http://i11.photobucket.com/a...

Re: Simonov SKS-45

The Albanian is much rarer and pricer than the Russian, IIRC only about 5,000 survived the scrappers torch and where imported. The e hand guard is longer, they have a Chinese style spiker bayonet, they have an AK style cocking handle, and 2 pockets in the butt stock for cleaning kits, and the magaz...

Re: Simonov SKS-45

You would have a field day Mosin, if you could live here. I have 5 SKS's, 2 unfired Yugos in cosmoline, one unfired Russian and 1 Yugo and 1 Chinese (scoped) that I shoot. I'm sure I would M14man. Great SKS collection you have there. The Yugo and Chinese don't fit in my collection, but................

Re: 1936 Finn Civil Gaurd 28/30

Lucky you Walt.
$380.00 is a good price for a 28-30.
Over here they sell from €400.00($435.00) for a "not so good one" and up.
Too much for my budget at the moment.
But.........a man has to have wishes.
The 28-30 is just one of them.

Re: Simonov SKS-45

Thanks Walt, I wanted to add an SKS to my collection years ago, but they were way to expensive in the Netherlands (if you could find one). It was much easier to buy one in Germany, but until a couple of years ago the SKS was part of the German "Kriegswaffen Kontrol Gesetz" or "Weapons...

Re: Simonov SKS-45

We can't have those in the UK, deemed far too dangerous for a private individual to own. However, it is legal to own a fully functional artillery gun such as a 25 pounder on a firearms certificate. Regards Peter. What.......you can't own a SKS but you can own a 25 pounder????? That is weird and sou...

Re: Just bought a Webley

See.....the bullets didn't get lost between the cylinder and the barrel.
They got lost after leaving the barrel.
Sorry Duncan, just couldn't resist.

Ah well..................at least the revolver works.
Good job Duncan.

Re: 1936 Finn Civil Gaurd 28/30

Unbelievable Miller   Where do you find them? A 28-30 is still missing in my collection. You do see them every now and then on auction sites over here but most of the time the price is "not of this world". I keep searching though. I got to get my collection as complete as pos...
