I took a few quick pics of my Type 44 Arisaka. This is the first variation made at the Koishikawa arsenal Tokyo sometime in the early/mid 1920s as a best guess. Type 99 at the range

A pic of the range.....

...at Pickering. The ground rises steeply on both sides and behind the targets. That's why there is alot of shadow to be seen.
