My Winchester 94

Post by joseyclosey » Sun Mar 18, 2012 1:19 pm

Loaded up some various rounds for my 1894 and the better loads turned out to be 7.5g Unique over over a 150g Lee boolit and 9.5g of Herco over the same.

I tried these rounds out last month at 106yds and was quite pleased with the results.

I don't have any close up schnaps of the rifle but my better half took this one of me last week trying out a heavier boolit with different charges/components which didn't shoot quite so well. More development needed methinks. :D

Great shooting and a fantastic looking rifle Joe.
I love those lever action rifles, but I have to make choices.
Only 5 firearms allowed on the shooters license.
I already sold a Mosin Nagant :( to make place for a muzzle loader :D .

Thanks for sharing the pictures Joe.
Keep them coming.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin

I picked up a secondhand Lyman 66a sight for the 94 this week, what a improvement to the sight picture and group sizes at last nights range. :D

I'll be taking this to the outdoor range on Monday and give it a whirl at 100m.
