Police Mk III, 28" bbl, full choke, good condition etc.

Marked Hong Kong Police

The seller is asking $A450.
Does this sound a fair price?

Bearing in mind that if it is original it won't fire normal 12ga rounds.

Personally, if it is in good condition and properly marked I would spend that much on it.
The original ammo was 14 1/2 gauge Mark I shells but they were also chambered for standard 12 gauge 2 3/4" shells I think.

I have to say I agree with Duncan, if it was in good condition, I would buy it at that money. Then again, I am a big fan of the Greeners with Martini actions. Hell, if I could find one here in good condition, i would pay more!!!!

I bought my last one for £8O. but there were brass 14 bore cases going at auction this week for £5 a piece so they must be getting collectable.

I use 16 bore cartridges in my Greener police guns, all it takes is a single wrap of 8O gm cartridge paper held in place with some dabs of Pritt Stick to make 14 gauge cartridges.

Certainly turns heads at the clay pigeon shoots. :D
