the shooting contest continues

the shooting contest continues
The orignal idea continues. All who have shot and posted their scores over the summer are requested to please post them again.
For those who haven't entered, the target is the NRA 100 yard small bore rifle target...or one like it. Five shots only, from any milsurp rifle without a scope. Highest score wins. There was an extra two points if you used milsurp ammo, but since nobody that I remember mentioned it, we will drop this rule unless I missed someones use of it.
You can shoot from any stance. You can be seated at a bench or shoot prone. Whatever. It's up to you.
The modest prizes include... one small trophy for the top score along with a milsurpafterrhours pin and patch. Second and third place get a pin and a patch.
This contest ends November 1, 2006.

Self Defence is not only a Right, it is an Obligation.

Ok, Milsurp rule back in
Keep the milsurp ammo 2 points. Anybody can get an extra 2 points for using milsurp ammo.

Can't find the original target, can't remember the score from the club shoot - so found a second hand target at the range this morning and had a go with the Savage No4 MkI. A 39, shooting standing, off the post at 100m with handloads of 180gr softpoint boattails, over 37.5 grains 2208, using Remington large rifle primers and 1943 DC Cases.

The power of accurate observation is frequently called cynicism by those who don't have it.
