Lebel Buffalo rifle
Had the pleasure of handling and shooting this .22 RF Lebel trainer today. Its only the second one I have come across and my local dealer was kind enough to let me shoot and photograph it.
It has an unusual bolt system and extractor, a nice foresight protector very similar to that on the War Office Pattern trainer and it shot very well with both CCI and Remington Thunderbolt ammunition.
All in all a delightful little rifle, I love it.

I've never seen one before either. Very interesting design. Looks like you were shooting it pretty good too from the target.

Re: Lebel Buffalo rifle
I saw one a few years ago at a dealers. The next time I was there I askd to see it again but it was gone. I should have bought it when I saw it. I have made that mistake more than once with various guns over the years.
