S-R 1889 worth?

The country that avoids war and the country that fights but has a hard time winning have been combined. The Swiss made some excellent firearms and the French made some unique and occasionally inspiring ones. We have added the Belgian and Dutch since they are neighbors.

S-R 1889 worth?

Post by KevinP In UK » Thu Apr 07, 2005 6:31 am

Hi All,

It looks like I will have to reduce the numbers in my collection as I am moving and in the new location I am having storage space problems. There is no where to fit all my cabinets.

So I am looking at what I can move on easily and my Canton marked (StG)M1889 looks a likely candidate, has the leather sling and the brass muzzle cap that came wiht it, I also have some chargers. Now what is a realistic price for this.

Yes it has tiger stipped wood.

I have shot 5 rounds through it to check it and it functiuons fine. Even has the original numbered Red bolt grips.

<p>Best Regards. KP
