my k31
I thought I would post a few pics of my K31. I bought this just over three years ago. It is a
1943 dated one. There is the date stamp 1943 under the buttplate and the tag. It is all matching in very nice condition. It went through FTR in 1957 as there is a very neat wood repair on the stock under the serial number and 57 stamped on the top tang denoting the date of the FTR. It came with an original sling.

It is a nice rifle that shoots well. I like it.

Is the Bolt Sleeve EP'ed or Stamped on the '43.
Below is the EP'ed Bolt Survey. It seems most common on '43s and '44s.

Very nice finish on yours. I've seen a similar stock repair.[/url]

Bolt number is ep'ed
Hawkster, it is very neatly done, but looks like EP rather than stamped.
Stripperclip, as I understand it, they stamped the last two digits of the year on the top tang when a rifle was FTR'd. If it has no stamp, then it has not been through FTR, unless someone knows different.
Regards
Peter.
