The Swiss MKMS Neuhaussen Submachine gun

The country that avoids war and the country that fights but has a hard time winning have been combined. The Swiss made some excellent firearms and the French made some unique and occasionally inspiring ones. We have added the Belgian and Dutch since they are neighbors.

The Swiss MKMS Neuhaussen Submachine gun

Post by RGRWJB » Tue May 16, 2006 10:57 am

In 1940 the Swiss built 282 Swiss Neuhusssen subachineguns for the Finnish Army only. 40 of these were in 7.65 and 242 were built in 9mm. I was fortunate enough to view two of these guns on my recent trip to Finland. One had a replacement barrel made by the Finnish arsenal VKT.

The magazine for this gun folds down from the bottom of the front handguard. It's in the stored postion now.
