Holy grail on Lebels

The country that avoids war and the country that fights but has a hard time winning have been combined. The Swiss made some excellent firearms and the French made some unique and occaisonally inspiring ones.

Holy grail on Lebels

Postby 1886lebel » Mon Feb 12, 2007 5:13 pm

I just got this website from a friend in France .... http://www.servicehistorique.sga.defens ... _lebel.htm

It has loads on information on plans, articles and memoires on the Mle.1886 "Lebel" ... This is the jackpot I have been seeking.

Now to get this all translated as my French is horrible

Thats and interesting site Patrick. If there is anything you can't translate I might be able to help you. My friend Alain at the club speakes good English and is happy to translate things for me.

I just found this on the site. It is an old postcard of the Gendarmerie in Blaye. They still use the same building!
