Here is a picture of the very rare MAS 36 Anti-Tank Rifle ... these were only in the prototype phase and were made up to the Armistice in 1940. The envisaged cartridge was to be of small calibre but of high velocity based upon the 8MM Maroszek (7.92mm)

That's a new one to me. (Not that I am an expert on the MAS 1936.)

The whole concept seems a little strange-even in WWI the anti-tank rifles

were much larger-the 13MM Mauser, e,g, and IIRC at the start of WWII

the minimum calber for antt-tank guns was usually 37MM or more, the various anti-tank rifles had already been found inadequate, good for mobility hits on the tracks, e.g. but ineffective against front armor.
