Swiss Easterbunny :-)

The country that avoids war and the country that fights but has a hard time winning have been combined. The Swiss made some excellent firearms and the French made some unique and occasionally inspiring ones. We have added the Belgian and Dutch since they are neighbors.

Nice Chris. Has it been converted to centerfire?

Yes, it is centerfire now
I know, not original anymore, but I like to shoot my collcetors pieces and with rimfire it would be a real pain.

Great find Chris.
I checked my garden too, but.....found nothing.

I hope the Vetterli shoots as good as she looks.
I love this type of rifle.
Bought myself a Model 81 a couple of years ago.

It used to be a very popular rifle over here, but you don't see them much anymore nowadays.
Most of the Vetterli owners didn't use BP, but modern powder in these rifles.
Well.........NOT ME.
I still use BP.....just for the smell of it.

I used to reload without using a die set .
I paper patched the bullets.
Just a couple of weeks ago I bought myself a LEE die set for this rifle.

Works great.
The bullet mould I use makes boolits that are a copy of the original Vetterli bullet.
It can produce both the flat base and hollow base boolit.
The hollow based boolit works best for my Vetterli.
Brass is reformed .348 Winchester.

I bought this mould from a member on this board....Guisan.
He posts regularly in the Swiss section.
It's a fantastic boolit and works great for my Vetterli.

Please keep me posted on the Vetterli.
I sure like to know how she performs.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin
