Rare Swiss 96/11 sniper...

The country that avoids war and the country that fights but has a hard time winning have been combined. The Swiss made some excellent firearms and the French made some unique and occasionally inspiring ones. We have added the Belgian and Dutch since they are neighbors.

It's a good job they had mountains to support it on  That is a whopper of a scope! I wonder what sort of vibration it had when fired as the unsupported length is huge?

What are the specifics on the scope? When was it manufactured?
How are the windage and elevation adjustments made?

Thanks for the post, I have never seen one like it before.

That scope is for a so-called Scharten-Mg, these were Mg11 machineguns that were used in fortresses and bunkers. Some Swiss guy did put it on a long 96/11 and it looks nice but was nothing official.
