That last one MUST BE the Gnomes of Zurich

Gnomes, or that must have been a really long field exercise.
What kind of rifle does that soldier have in the photo with the rope?

Well it seems a well known Swiss straight pull to me...

It would just about have to be....but the bolt handle looks like it has round knob on the end. I must be imagining things.

Looks like a bolt action rifle to me Robert and not a straight pull.

And a Swiss straight pull it is in 7.5 GP90, first introduced in 1893 and first made by SIG and later by W+F.

Ok.....so I have a short memory.
Just saw a Swiss Mannlicher 1893 advertised by a dealer online for $1695. That's about ten times what I paid for my K31 a couple or three years ago. That guy in the photo must have been a new guy and gotten the last choice rifle instead of one of the newer up to date models.
