Hello fellows,

My day started real bad, had a car accident, some b...h lost control of her car and hit my truck front left :-(((((((

But to cheer me up the big yellow truck delivered my 1935 TOZ8 trainer while I was at work:

Sorry for teh crappy pictures, but outside it was foggy al day and when I arrived home, it bacam dark already.

Rifle has matching bolt, blueing is very good, not redone, muzzle bright.

Stock was sanded lightly and some kind of varnish added, looks not to bad, will not try to remove it.

Barrel is very good, some minor rust spots, but I hope, they do not bugger up the accuracy.

Trigger is very good, milled trigger, not stamped.

Will ry to get to the range on Sunday and also do make some better pics of the rifle.

Great buy Chris.

I noticed you already found someone(thing) to clean her up.

Let me know how she performs on the range.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin

BTW, I will be in Thueringen around April 17th.

Any chance on you being there too???

We could have a beer and a Thueringer Bratwurst. :D

After the Deutsche Post ruined the Barnett Ten X beyond repair, this one came here in one piece, sturdy russian birch stock

If the weather permits, I will take it to the range on Sunday, together with my M56 and the m/27 trainer. Today it was VERY foggy, no use even shooting at 25m.

April 17th should be OK, what guns are needed for that competition?

Maybe I can find some more goodies in 2 weeks up in Finland

Shoot me a mail some weeks befor the 17th, my memory is not so good in the long run.

Had some bad weather over here too.
Combination of fog and snow.
It was no pleasure driving to work this morning.
I hope you have some good weather on Sunday.
Keep me posted OK.

Sorry Chris.
There will be no competition that weekend.
At least not that I know of.
Friday the 17th I will pick up 2 Mosin Nagant rifles I bought
We will just use the range for a couple of hours on Saturday and return home Sunday morning.

I'll send you an E-mail a couple of weeks before we drive over.

BTW...let me know if you find some good stuff while you're in Finland.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin

OK, some better pictures of the rifles:

And the results from the range today:

Had to drift the frontsight, as can be seen on th eupper left target, some more fine tuning and it will hit center :D

The Schönebeck(SK) standard plus ammo also works good in my other trainers, time to stock up on it.

Does Your Toz-8 has rails for scope?

Mine Toz-8M http://news.webshots.com/photo/20189440 ... 3851lmFBya has.

Using mount,which came with Toz-99 I've put Bushnell Banner Dusk&Down Mod.71-4124. Fast-Focus eyepice 4-12x40 on Toz-8M.

[ And in few days this one is coming:

Update: It's here: http://s571.photobucket.com/albums/ss15 ... l%20Rifle/ ].

My range has only 25 yards. Target below...

No rails for scope, I think they started out somwehre in the 1950s with rails, but since rifles from that time are not too common, I can not say for sure.
