Remington 597

Probably the most popular caliber firearm in most of the world. Many of us have more than one. They also are very collectible and still cheap to shoot.

Remington 597

Post by Brass Rat » Sat Oct 06, 2012 10:34 pm

Finally got around to installing a set of sling studs on my little 597. This was the first time I have put them on a synthetic stock. It wasn't too bad but my drill press saved the day when I had a break out removing half of a pillar on the inside of the fore end.

Followed these instructions: http://youtu.be/kOGt9S5nQDU If you watch the video you'll recognize the part where the drill press and 3/8" bit were needed.

It didn't take Sarah long to claim the rifle once the sling went on
