started as bolt only , the DPMS impressed me so much i now have a 16" with the EOTECH i mentioned to go with the 20" that has the ACOG , im still missing the scope for my SA M1A but im working on it , did trade for a nice chinese SKS w/bayo-no launcher , think im hooked on these , id hoped to just have the M1rifle and M1carbine in semis but they grow on you

so i found the scope i wanted for the M1A , picked up a nice leupold mk4 LR/T , it made that rifle a very accurate 200 yd piece[thats the longest we have localy] im really enjoying shooting these , my old eyes dont do so well with irons anymore

the SA M1A/M14 type was my first , i had wanted it for some time and when the time came round i invested , as to the 556s i had not thought of having one since my first experience with a colt back in the very early 1970s , but with the DPMS factory at my local range i kept seeing them , they grew on me and i felt this compulsion to own the local product , ive seen enough info to know there are many out there and some are ranked above these in the inner circles of users but i must say ive not been disapointed at all , the chinese SKS came from a friend[even his photo] i couldnt pass it up

DPMS LR308 - my next build - this winter , got a freind at the factory [actualy a few] that im working with at this point but the one is going to have an armorers class and help get things put together right , my stripped lower is ordered and im looking to order the rest of the bits this week

meantime i got this one - not exactly black , but pretty darnm close

im liking this one a lot - thinking of switching the scope for a red dot to have something diferent in 308

I still have my Chinese GEW Commission rifle, and the wood is still black ( I won't let Sen. Finestein see it!). I build an AR-15 Kalifionia legal rifle, but I bought the upper from DEL-TON, with a 20 inch barrel and a 10 round magazine. It has a 'Bullet Button' that keeps the Mag a part of the rifle. I need a tool to remove the mag, but a 5.56 bullet will do in a pinch. I assembled the lower that has the serial number, and that has to by perched through a 01FFL and the DORS procedure.
I bought three more AR-15 lowers, but only found one lower parts kit and two stocks. I'll wait for the prices to stabilize, and build the upper half myself. I've made friends with a Marine armor, and we'll thrash it out together lol.
