Into the woods.......

Post by Niner Delta » Tue Aug 29, 2017 7:20 pm

Went shooting in the woods on Sunday with my son and his buddy (shiny head).
My son took one of his ARs and I took the HK91 and an AR. We spent the whole afternoon
and managed to get a little sunburned, but it was worth it. Went through 630 rounds of my
ammo, about half 7.62x51 and half 5.56, and my son went through about 300 of 5.56.
We had so much fun....
Took my gongs, target stand, and used plastic milk cartons that are laying around up there.
We also did "Mad Minutes" from the shoulder and the hip, sometimes you just gotta blast away......
Shooting 2 ARs with 30 rnd mags and my HK with 20 rnd mag all at the same time, you can put
80 rnds down range in 7 seconds. My son propped up his phone and we have video of us all
blasting away. Not sure if I could put the video on here, or maybe I don't want it on the internet
or the looney liberals in black clothes will find my house...........
Anyway, great weather and great fun.......and a couple of photos..... :D

I take it you brought the tables and chairs along too.....being in the woods.

I haven't done any shooting in so long I almost forgot how. Not good to say for a guy who produces a milsurp site.

Looks like you put a dent in your ammo stash...but at least you had fun with it. My ammo is only being horded.

Actually, that didn't even put a dent in my ammo stash. If I said how much I really have, some
government agency would probably be knocking on my door.......
Have been storing up for years...... just in case......

Yes, my son and I both have folding tables and chairs to go shooting.... :D

Reminds me I have this portable shooting stand out in the garage. It comes apart and fits into a canvas bag. Lots of metal tubes that fit together like an erector set. Used it when my in-laws had some property where I could go shooting back some years ago.

Last time I used it was to test out an air rifle in the back yard.

That's a nice setup, but I like the big table to put all the stuff on top. Especially when you can back
in and set it all up right behind the SUV...... :D

Those folding tables are certainly easier to set up as well. My shooting erector set is all set up and stored in the garage gathering dust and rat turds.

That bean bag rest came with it too. That's the most satisfying thing about it. Think I paid something like $95 for it delivered.

Vern, I do like your style of shooting, it would suit me down to the ground. :D
