Caliber: 7.5 x 54 MAS Reload Info

The country that avoids war and the country that fights but has a hard time winning have been combined. The Swiss made some excellent firearms and the French made some unique and occasionally inspiring ones. We have added the Belgian and Dutch since they are neighbors.

I reload for two MAS36s; mine and my sons, and I use 308 "top of the shop" loads for both 144gn fmj over ADI 2206 and 150gn anything over ADI 2208. Both very accurate and shoot true to sights settings.

I am a new guy to the forum and it looks to be a friendly place here. I just wanted to add my 2 cents. I reload with a 180 gr cast bullet from a Lee mold using SR4759. I have been well pleased with the accuracy from this load. My shooting consists mostly at 100 yard targets and just plain off hand shooting. This rifle has been a pleasant surprise to me and much more accurate than I expected. I shoot cast bullets for economy and I mostly plink anyway. Does anyone know a good inexpensive source for fmj .308 bullets? Thanks.....

I've been thinking about reloading for some of my more expensive surplus ammo guns. The MAS is a perfect example.

Mike, glad you have found us. We can use your imput. If you got a favorite load for the MAS how about posting the details in the handloading forum. I for one would like to give it a try.

This is what I did!

I also tried 4831 but it used more powder for the same MV!

Apologies if the img's are too large perhaps the mods can deal with this please?
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy!
