Schmidt Rubin, Model G11

The country that avoids war and the country that fights but has a hard time winning have been combined. The Swiss made some excellent firearms and the French made some unique and occasionally inspiring ones. We have added the Belgian and Dutch since they are neighbors.

OK - sitrep as at 20:07 26/05/17...........

I have now sent the seller in Germany a copy of the signed and stamped import document that was received by the French customs on 20/04/17 and signed by them on 18/05/17..................received back by me 25/05/17, as well as a copy of my FFT Licence and my Passport.
Apparently the documentation will take another 10 days in Germany and then they will send the rifle. Expected delivery date is therefore W/C 12th June      :SWI: :SWI:

On June 15, I ordered a replacement of my prescription computer glasses ...from Zenni Optical in China....regular shipping not extra price fast. They came yesterday.

Did they actually come from China or from California? I've used them for years and interestingly enough I ordered a replacement pair today from Novato, California. www.zennioptical.com

Karl, that's what my daughter told me. They may be reshipped from California but I think they are actually made in China. The online site says two people in California started the company. Can't find on their present site an mention of where the glasses are actually made. But... if you look at this page.... the technicians sure look oriental.

If the glasses are questionable as coming from china... I did order something from china on June 16. I know it is coming the basic postage way. I'll see if it gets here before Duncan's rifle gets to him.
