1. I refuse to eat runny (I call them snotty) egg whites.
2. When I was a small child I learned to lean forward when eating liquid things in order to keep my clothes
clean and not incur the wrath of my Mother.

I'm with you on the egg whites. Fried eggs are cooked by me or ordered over"medium", not over "easy" as "easy" runs the risk of runny egg white like sunny side up. Runny yellow is actually preferred, however.
