1941 Johnson Carbine
Here is a 1941 Johnson carbine being held by Niner so I can get a quick pic.
What country does the large crown over "W" represent?
Notice the differences of the bottom Johnson from the upper two.

Looked it up
According to Gunmarks by Balderson the W with that particular Crown is Dutch military.
As oldironsights mentioned, notice the bottom rifle of the three is a little shorter than the other two. The store owner says this one was made as a carbine. I haven't checked on this information as to true reason for a slightly shorter barrel or at what juncture it was made that way.
All three Johnson rifles were in pristine shape. No price discussion other than they should bring $5000 or so dollars each at auction.

Re: 1941 Johnson Carbine
The #4xxx number indicates it was delivered Post-war to Holland ( the original 50,000 plus contract was taken over by the US in 1942, and only 1999 were delivered to the KNIL in the East Indies by Feb. 42; the rest were used by the USMC in 1942 (Guadalcanal) and then mostly stored until war's end. Some Dutch units in Dutch West Indies (Surinam, Antilles) were issued with JARs, but the large majority of them were sent to Holland in 1945-48, both for use in Holland ( W Mark before 1948, J mark ( Queen Juliana) after 1948 --if any). Rifles for the KNIL fighting Indonesian Independance were not marked.

Doc AV you are amazing. You actually know stuff that most of us would otherwise have no idea about.

I saw a picture of a British soldier with one of these in Burma right alongside with another with a Bren. I feel sorry for the Japs that caught that fire! LOL!
