Just a heads up....Century has GP11 under the August specials:
$144 for a 480rd case
This is probably one of the best deals I've seen on Swiss surplus.

Phil is right.
I'm an ole tight wad and I consistently cruise the Internet looking for good deals. The deal is better if you can get some friends in your local area to go in together on a big order. It's just a $12.50 service fee no matter how many rounds you order and no shipping cost. Shipping can costs can sometimes turn a real good deal into not such a good deal.

why is the swedish surplus so much higher than the others? the ammo price is pretty much what keeps me from buying a K-31.

Swiss not Swedish. As with most anything Swiss, the ammo is superb. It's general issue match grade. Less than 1" groups at 100 meters out of a Schmidt-Rubin rifle are common.Also, they were the only ones using this cartridge, except maybe for a few oddball exports to countries like Argentina.
Also, commercial ammo is coming on the market right now, and to make it more interesting, brass is readily available for reloading.
